The Canon LBP-2410 printer is one of the many successful products of Canon manufacturers. It is a laser shot printer in nature. A laser shot printer basically deals with heat and Canon 2410 laser toners. A beam projects an image of the object on an electrically charged drum. The drum from there prints the image onto the paper by pressing on the paper. This process involves heat that infuses the ink on the paper. This series of printers is not new and Canon has over the years produced other models. Despite this, it is said to be the veteran color printer and incorporated the company's Canon Advanced Printing Technology. This technology majorly enabled the computer to handle the data processing as opposed to other models.

The popularity of this series has seemingly gone down for the past few years. Even so, the fact is that this machine was the first of its kind to have the Canon Advanced Printing Technology using Canon ink and toner. This was considered Canon's unique and quick demand-fixing system that enabled fast printing. The technology made data processing to be performed totally by the computer system and not by the device itself. During its premier years of release, it was ranked third fastest among all others at that moment.

For efficient operation it calls for proper connection to the computer and communication between the two. For this, first a driver's disc should be installed in the computer's operating system. However the buyer has to consider the operating system being used. It is also advised that the user installs an original version of the drivers with a genuine serial code for activation. After installation, the computer can easily recognize the hardware and will be able to send print jobs. A USB cable is the connection medium used between the two.

Initially, the drivers were very strict in terms of operating systems supported in that it only supported the Windows XP professional. Later on, a new version, version 3.00.00, was released to accommodate recent operating systems such as windows 7 and windows vista. This made it more flexible.

It can support up to 9600 UFR (measure of printing resolution). Quality wise, this is considerably high thus enabling it to produce sharp text and images. Even with the initially set color modes, there is provision of several color tools that may be used by expert users to modify to customize it to best fit them.

There are three technologies incorporated in the color capt technique. These include Soft Ultra Fast Rendering, Hi Smart Comparison Architecture and the pipeline technologies. The different properties of these technologies are what contribute to its fast printing abilities.

The toner, which contains the ink, comes with a rotating CMY barrel of toner cartridges. Putting the toner in place involves a simple procedure of squeezing the tabs located in the middle of the cartridges and inserting them. The toner itself is oil-less in nature, producing less blotches and less gloss.
