3D Tv at home is taking the world by storm. The TV sets are getting bigger and bigger, thinner, and more advanced than I could ever have imagined. One very good thing about this is that it becomes more affordable for the ordinary person to have this kind of technology at home.

The 55inch LG 3D LCD TV is just such a TV. Looking at the HD quality I was honestly amazed. What is the world coming to? I bought one of those bundle deals, where you get the 3D Blu-Ray Player as well, included the 3D glasses required for watching in 3 Dimensional. I wonder how long it's going to be before we can watch tv in 3 Dimensions without those glasses.

This TV is truly astounding in every way. I tried my old DVD just in the normal mode, without the glasses, and the picture quality was just absolutely amazing. The sound from the tv was good, but as soon as I can I'll get one of those 3D ready surround sound home theater systems, just to get the most I can out of this amazing TV.

I have just yesterday connected the internet to the system, and now I can watch movies and TV shows, news and weather and the world's largest library of HD movies in 1080p, on my TV without my PC.

Watching a 3D Blu Ray movie with the glasses on was just incredible. We bought the Imax Space station on Blu ray. BluRay 3D requires active shutter glasses, which run around $100 or more a pair. Just because the DVD says 3D doesn't mean it's the higher quality BluRay 3D. BluRay 3D will say "BluRay 3D." If it doesn't, then it's not BluRay 3D. BluRay 3D discs requires a BluRay player.

Just remember that to connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second)will be able to carry the 3D signal without any loss of quality

I think the LG 3D LCD TV is the best purchase I have made in a very long while. As I love watching movies, this is right up my street.
