Apple cider vinegar has been linked with numerous ailments since the time of the Egyptians. To this day, people have been depending on this cheap and easily-accessible wonder drug to treat their ailments. Just what are some of these conditions? And, does it really work? Read on to find out.

At the top of the list is acne. If you have tried almost everything in the book including expensive medications, you can try this easy-to-follow home remedy. Dilute two tablespoons of apple cider concentrate with water and gently dab the affected areas using cotton. Rinse thoroughly with water afterward and repeat this once a day--preferably before retiring to bed--for a week. In about two to three days you'll notice your acne is drying up.

Colds can also be treated with apple cider vinegar. Dilute half a tablespoon of cider in a glass of water. Drink a maximum of three glasses so long as your nose is still runny. The acidic vinegar helps in restoring the body's natural acidic levels which goes down when one has colds. Steam-inhaling the diluted mixture can also unclog your nose, not to mention lessen headaches related to your condition. And, speaking of headaches, doing the same every time you experience mild headaches can be a makeshift alternative to taking all of the over-the-counter medicines available out there. If you want a natural alternative, this is it.

A form of arthritis called gout has also been linked with drinking apple cider vinegar mix. As mentioned earlier, its acidity can balance the natural acidic balance of the body. Because gout is an ailment caused by excess acid--uric acid to be more specific, drinking apple cider vinegar regularly can help control gout attacks. Gout is a chronic disease and people who have it need ways of controlling their uric acid levels to prevent future episodes.

Finally, a nice foot-soak in apple cider vinegar can also relieve tired, sore feet. Do this after a tiring day by heating a bucket of water and mixing it with some apple cider concentrate. Place it in a small tub and dip your foot in to relax.

When taking apple cider vinegar orally--no matter how diluted it is--always remember to wash your mouth thoroughly or follow with a good brushing. The downside of its acidity is that it can strip the teeth's natural protective layer which can lead to weakened teeth. Just always remember to wash thoroughly and you won't have to worry.
