Back pain affects a lot of people all over the world; most are quick to run to the doctor, chiropractor, or other professionals to attempt to fix their problems. Don't be so quick to pull out those credit cards from your wallet just yet! There may be an alternative option to solve your back pain problems. In this article I am going to discuss six home remedies to solving and preventing pack pain problems that may be causing you a lot of pain.

There are plenty of herbal oils that can be massaged on to the sore area which can relieve the back pain. Find someone willing to help you out and tell them to rub in the oils using the knuckle part of their fists and to increase pressure slowly, at first this may cause discomfort, but the pain will go away over the time of the massage and your muscles will begin to slowly relax, if the pain starts getting worse please stop as you could actually cause more harm than good by continuing.

One way to prevent causing damage to your back in the first place is to always remember to bend your knees and lift with your legs when lifting heavy objects! Lifting with your back can cause serious damage by pinching nerve endings and putting a lot of stress on your spine.

Remember to NEVER twist your back when lifting a heavy object, as this can also pinch nerve endings and cause serious damage to your spine.

If you are a female, never lift heavy objects in the last few weeks of your pregnancy, this dangerous for you as the extra weight of the baby can triple the weight of the object you are attempting to lift.

Stay away from couches! The lack of support can cause a lot of problems. Though they may be comfortable, you should sit in firm chars that support your lower back, place a pillow in this area and try to keep a proper posture at all times.

St. Johns wort can help a great deal with bringing ease to your back pain. Apply it to the sore area, but please do not attempt to suntan when this oil is on your skin, as it makes your flesh very sensitive to the sun!

So remember, keep those credit cards in your wallet, and try these methods first. If your problems continue, or get worse only then should you run to a professional.
