Bangkok is Thailand's largest city as well as its capital. Known for its crazy nightlife scene, the hectic modern city atmosphere, and its gorgeous temples and palaces, more and more people are traveling to Bangkok every year to experience a vacation unlike any other. No matter what you're looking for - steamy parties, eclectic markets, interesting culture - you'll find it in Bangkok. If you are planning to travel outside the US anytime soon, you will need a passport. Getting pasports online is the quickest and easiest way to do it.
Online passport expediting makes it possible to get your passport in the shortest amount of time. You get to decide when you'd like your passport delivered, and that makes it ideal for trips that come up at the last second. In addition to being able to get a brand-new passport, you can also get an passport renewal, passport replacement, additional pages for your passport, and much more.
Taking a bike tour is the best way to cover the large city of Bangkok as time-efficiently as possible. While you'll definitely want to avoid the very busy main roads, taking the lesser-traveled roads is actually a benefit, as you get to experience the daily lives of the people of Taiwan first hand, and this is invaluable. For the most part, those on bikes are able to travel pretty much anywhere a pedestrian can. For example, cyclists in markets, temples, neighborhoods, and even the country lanes and the farms. Bangkok has many canals weaving through it, and these make for another easy and fun way to explore the city. The public express boats make this easy.
While in Bangkok, you definitely have to visit some of the famous temples, which are primarily found on the island of Rattanakosin, which is often called the "Old City." The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaeo, is the most treasured of all of Bangkok's temples, and it's said that if you only visit one temple while you're in Thailand, make it this one. You'll find it in the same beautiful compound as the Grand Palace, a compound that features many intricate buildings and monuments, all added by the Thailand's kings over the years. The Grand Palace is where the kings of Thailand lived. Be sure to also visit Temple of the Reclining Buddha, or Wat Pho, which houses the largest Buddha in Thailand at 150 feet.
Shopping is a fun part of any vacation, and while in Bangkok, Siam Square is the best place to do a little spending. Siam Square is the more modern region of Bangkok, as opposed to the more traditional region with the temples. It's the best place to hangout, shop, and eat, and it also has the largest aquarium in southeast Asia: Siam Ocean World.
