The problem of hair loss in black women can cause anxiety and disturbance in ones life. If this is a problem that you are experiencing then there are several things that you need to bear in mind. Many times when the problem of hair occurs the problem is not necessarily with the hair. There are other underlying factors that lead to this problem. This means that for you to get to the root cause of the problem you must first address the underlying issues.
When you experience hair problem you need to look at the affected areas of your head and those areas that have not been affected. Hair loss on the crown of the head may indicate the presence of female pattern baldness which affects women as young as 25 years. This is a hereditary problem that one gets from the parents. You can check whether one of your parents has ever suffered from this problem.
The other problem that black women experience with their hair is called traction alopecia. This is used to refer to a situation where a woman loses her hair through friction. For those black women who use weaves and braid on their hair more often some parts of their hair is stressed and it becomes more delicate than it was. This process makes the hair loose and easy to fall. This leads to loss of some of it depending on the intensity of the process. When the weave is removed some parts which previously had hair are left with no hair. Overheating your hair is another cause of hair loss in black women.
The other important point to note when it comes to hair loss in black women is the role played by body hormones in hair loss. For those women that may be having problems with their hormones or those that may be taking medicines that affect their hormones they may need to consult a physician to determine whether that may be the cause of the hair problem. This way one can get help and prevent the problem from escalating.
The problem of hair loss in black women has been there from time immemorial but this does not mean that the problem should be washed away. It's good to bear in mind that hair loss problems may indicate a more delicate underlying problem and therefore they should never be ignored. The best thing to do is to get to the root cause of the problem and address it once and for all. This is the only way to be sure that your hair is safe.
