Cigars - How To Know When You Pick The Right One by Paul J

Tobacco lovers around the world have many different things that they use to buy cigars. Some people buy cigars based on the time of day or event that they will be smoking them while others just because they want a cigar and don't care when or where they smoke them. There are a lot of great brands on the market including Game Cigarillos and Drew Estate Cigars but the question is are cigars like these any good? Should you pick a cigar based on the brand? If not what should you look for in a cigar?
Ratings & Quality
Many people make the mistake of following ratings as the last word if the cigar they want to buy is any good or not. For example: if you enjoy lighter tobacco and see that a cigar is rate 91 and you try it anyway you might find that you like it and would give it a totally different number. When picking a cigar you should stick with things like flavor, strength and characteristics. These things will help you to make a more informed decision when you pick your next smoke.
Pricing & Presentation
Many people when they start smoking cigars flock to the most expensive brands once or twice just so they could say that they tried them and have found the 'best cigars' don't always live up to expectations. Sometimes the more affordable or cheap-o-cigars are the best and offer the most smoking enjoyment. You can learn a lot about a cigar by its wrapper because the wrapper is usually a key to its flavor. Hint: The darker the wrapper, the more full-bodied the cigar is going to be and other parts of the cigars construction will affect the flavor like the flavor and quality of the wrapper leaves, how long the cigar is aged etc. You can also learn a lot about cigars by visiting your local tobacco store and speaking with experts who would be eager to give you a good cigar education.
