Unless your website is consistently generating thousands of hits a day, your conversions will be low. Online, we want information quick and that same mentality transfers into how we absorb & process information.

When faced with multiple options, people become indecisive...and ultimately "freeze" and leave your website without making any decision at all. Trust me, I've learned this valuable lesson from much testing and experience. So take it from me, limit the number of options you ask visitors to select. If your site provides great content, they "may" put their buying decision on hold and return later (or so they might think).

Remember - offer one thing (option/decision) to your visitors, with all relevant content leading back to your lead offer. Giving 1 option increases the likelihood of your prospect taking action... the action you want them to take.

Mistake #2 - Not driving enough relevant traffic.

The primary determining factor in whether a website is making money can be found in the amount of traffic it is getting. It's true, the amount of sales made is directly proportionate to the amount of relevant traffic it receives. I have seen really unattractive websites that make a lot of money everyday, as well as attractive websites that barely earn a sale a month. Why? It all had to do with traffic.

In the early stages of my internet marketing career, I had "ugly" websites and "pretty" websites. I learned the key to earning money online was based more on consistent traffic generation than the look of my website. The answer to success lies in promotion. Driving enough relevant traffic to your website or landing page. Lots of targeted traffic equal consistent, ongoing sales... plain and simple. You will earn cash online if you "get" this.

The problem is people get distracted by the aesthetics of their website, information overload, frustration, impatience... a number things, when the real solution and subsequent profits reside in the amount of traffic their site is getting. Amp up your unique hits & traffic volume, wait 30-60 days to see a realistic difference and watch your profits increase.

These mistakes are committed often, but they can be easily corrected.
