Today, I would like to share my friend's experience of making use of the Mizuno JPX-800 Irons. She told me her thoughts "I gave them 9 hits. They're fantastic irons, but if I'm thinking forgiveness, I probably step down to the standard model, or perhaps look at something like a Ping K15. If I'm inclined to go performance, feel, or looks, I probably step up to the Mizuno JPX-800 Irons. Such is the fate of irons in this space I think. They offer great balance, but probably not the best of anything."

The Mizuno JPX-800 irons are a big jump into the game improvement category for Mizuno Golf. Sure- they have other irons in this space (MX-1000, MX-300) but most people know and respect Mizuno most for their game-enhancing line of muscle back and blade irons known for their amazing feel and precision. In my opinion there was a big gap between the MX-1000′s and the MP lines of clubs and the JPX-800′s a full-fledged jump into that space, providing 8 to 24 handicappers with a truly remarkable option; a club with the feel Mizuno is known for combined with the game improvement qualities desired by many of us like forgiveness and increased distance. I don't want to ruin the rest of my review- but mission (mostly) accomplished!

Like the MP-53, the JPX-800 features Mizuno's Triple Cut Sole (most visible in the leading edge grind), which helps to ensure consistent performance from a variety of lies. Though Mizuno bills the JPX-800 Pro as having a thinner top line (in comparison to the standard JPX), several of our testers, and in particular the lower handicap golfers, told us that the top line was a bit too thick for their tastes.

Nothing matters if they don't work, right?! She loved these irons. She really thinks Mizuno is on to something special with these Discount Golf Gifts. She loves the feel of Mizuno irons- so much so that despite being custom fit by Nike I'm still tempted constantly to go back and play my set of Mizuno MP-57′s. The only reason I don't is because I'm really not good enough for the MP-57′s, but the feel of hitting them good is so amazing… Well, affected by her happiness, I expect my experience will come soon.
