Gas and Oil Industry Jobs by Mark Winn

It seems that we, as humans, constantly deplete all of our resources through overuse and waste. The energy industry is something that is working hard to keep us supplied with what we need while we do what we do best but… Overuse and waste energy. Since supply and demand are so unbalanced, jobs in the field of the gas and oil industry are in no short supply.
Is There a Future Out There?
Right out of college some students are reporting the possibility of earning $50,000 to $65,000/year by being employed through oil companies. Petroleum engineers who are undergrads have been offered $62,236 per year. High paying, quality jobs in the gas and oil industry are no longer only for those completing their master’s degree. The employers in this industry are willing to take and train undergrads to suit their needs. Enrollment in college courses dealing with geologists and Petroleum Engineering had suffered in the past but is now increasing. Interns and graduates can both find jobs in the gas and oil industry these days.
The Only Hiring Crisis in this Industry is Not Being Able to Hire Enough!
A couple of decades ago, hiring in the gas and oil industry was at a standstill. Aging workers employed before that stand still will need to get out of the industry in the next 10 years. Who will replace them? Today’s graduates. There simply aren’t enough students taking geosciences courses. If oil companies can get the word out, possibly more students will enroll. Pretty much every company has the same problems; there just aren’t enough fresh, new educated minds and bodies out there to go around.
So business is booming in the gas and oil industry. Working for an oil company doesn’t necessarily have to mean drilling on an offshore rig. They obviously need people with technical training and management skills as well.
