A exercise trainer Houston is at the right location to experience good employment opportunities over the next decade. This means many fitness and health clubs will be providing trainers to the public and they will be well trained fitness achievers. Many areas throughout the U. S.will experience this growth in employment for personal trainers. The certification programs for grooming the fitness professionals are geared to give education in the classroom and on-site.

The demand for personalized training with Houston weight loss programs is spurred by many events. The baby boomers are aging and have great interest in staying fit as they are beginning to reach the retirement age. This is evidenced by some health insurance companies who have developed fitness as part of their perks of enrollment. Some fitness clubs have silver sneakers programs to offer clients when they buy health insurance. It is a win win situation for the insurance company and the seniors.

The other driving factor for the trainer demand is a need for exercise in schools. Consideration must also be given to concerned parents who have obese children and want places that can motivate their children to be active. The schools have cut back on their fitness programs and an increase in demand for trainers working in non school fitness programs is present now.

Another demand the health clubs are trying to meet are those of young adults. As most are in careers for the first time, they have a need to find the closest health club in the city where they work. It is a good place to work out, spend time and meet other like minded people.

Currently across the United States there are no laws that have been made which declare who can tag themselves to be a personal trainer. This has been a problem in the past and many were hired to help in fitness programs without any credentials. Today, most programs in fitness require trainer certification. If the staff member is not certified upon hire, some exercise facilities will allow the employee to become certified during employment and sometimes, they will pay for the training.

The top two organizations that certify personal trainers are called the NSCA (The National Strength and Conditioning Association) and the ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). The NSCA requires a college degree and an examination for becoming certified. The organization offers the titles of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Professional Trainer (CPT).

The number two organization is ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) and has a requirement of an examination for all certifications. However, ACSM does not require a four year degree for every certification offered by the professional organization. ACSM has been in existence since the 1950's and has an outstanding reputation as well.
