While holidays may roll around with the same regularity each year, they can often become like oases in the desert for those who work a nine-to-five job. For example, everyone knows there is a long stretch between New Year's Day and Memorial Day, and then only Labor Day as respite in between the 4th of July and Thanksgiving. Therefore, those three-day weekends can be among the most cherished and welcomed events that take place during they year.
