HostGator Hosting Review   by Mark Web

HostGator has become one of the more familiar web hosts in the industry by just being themselves. Even though nothing they do is especially unbelievable or spectacular, they provide the service for which they are known; period. HostGator actually replies to their emails, answers their phones, doesn’t rip you off, responds to live chat requests and provides superiority hosting. Sadly, most hosts can’t seem to get that stuff right. All the better for HostGator! They have banked on other hosts shortcomings by transforming them into success.

Don’t Judge a Book (or a host) By its Cover
At first glance, HostGator is not very remarkable. They have a relatively generic web site, a logo with a less than prolific slogan – “we eat up the competition” (the alligator in their logo is eating the “H”- makes you wonder how much the guy that presented that advertising campaign got paid), cPanel, a pretty standard Modern Bill setup, ordinary copy on their text and basically everything a standard web host has.

Beauty is In the Eye of the Beholder (or the hoster)
Maybe it’s all of that stuff listed above that is the beauty of HostGator. They don’t have lots of marketing ploys or bells and whistles. What you see is what you get, it is what it is and it is that simple. The terms of service for HostGator are pretty typical, as is their ordering process. Marketing isn’t forced upon you at every page and the billing process is uncomplicated as well. Ordering takes approximately 5 minutes and HostGator accepts PayPal , credit cards and debit cards.

I was hard pressed to find a negative HostGator Hosting review; additionally one truly exciting characteristic of HostGator is that I’m seeing a lot, and I do mean a lot, of coupons on line for this hosting service. And who doesn’t like coupons?
