Get the copywriting mindset
Whether you're writing a memo to a co-worker, an excuse letter for your pesky little brother, or a message to a special friend on Facebook, wear that copywriting hat and start writing in "copy."
Yes, that's right. Forget about formal structure, or what your English teacher once told you about grammar, or stop trying to sound "professional." Instead, just write those things like you're writing a sales copy.
You know what I mean, right?
Write in short, snappy sentences. One or two short sentences in a paragraphs help break up the page. Use simple language yet vigorous writing that sound like you're talking. And pick those words that induce images and beliefs, or hit the emotional buttons of your readers, instead of just writing dispassionate, hard reasoning.
Trust me, this helps kickstart your copywriting skills
Following this simple tip can help you learn copywriting fast. It can boost up the speed in which you'll be able to write profitable copy quicker than you ever imagine.
How do I know? That's because I've been there and done those things myself. Just like magic, my productivity goes up which also means more money keeps pouring in into my bank account.
As said, trust me. You can do the same thing, too. Well, anyone can. All you need is master the fundamentals of copywriting, apply them whenever possible.
The downside
Here's a caveat though: writing everything in "copy" will surely help improve your copywriting skills. Yet it will also do damage to your other writing skills. That's the downside.
Choosing to write sales copies this way will not please most of your colleagues or those so-called good "writers". They will probably laugh and sneer at you. They will try to "correct" your works, lecture you to the ancient rules of grammar, and convert you back to the flock.
But that's perfectly okay. Your copies will be much powerful than theirs.
