In "Pyramid Scheme" and was Going Broke   by Cheryl Stinchcomb

Staying loyal to a "pyramid scheme" can cause you to go bankrupt. In 2008, seven different airlines filed for bankruptcy. In 2010, three more airlines filed, and then American Airlines this past year. Executives that used to have financial security in stock options, 401k, and pension plans are going broke. So the "traditional way" of working for someone else's company is putting many Americans in a fiscal bind. So you could say the 21st Century 'Pyramid Scheme" is "Corporate America".

Similar situation happened to me, when I was an executive for a large company in Denver, CO. Year after year, I was expected to work harder and longer hours. Yet, year after year, my income was decreasing; no more 401k, stock options, annual bonus, or salary increases. Obviously, this saddened me. I remembered back in college, I was promised to get paid for my expertise and experience. However, the opposite was happening due to the state of the economy.

So I joined an industry that most people would call a "pyramid scheme", attraction marketing. Is attraction marketing a pyramid scheme? Glad you asked. Well, a person joins a company, and then recruits others to promote the company's products and services. This leader sits at the peak of the pyramid, and will reap the financial benefits from the team's efforts. Wait, that sounds familiar.

In "Corporate America", a President sits at the top of the company pyramid. This position typically collects bigger checks than anyone on their team. These companies have recruiters that hire a team to promote the company's services and products. So what is the difference between network marketing and the corporate world?

The BIG DIFFERENCE is in the corporate world; your boss determines your maximum salary potential. However, in the network marketing world, a member of my team has the potential to earn more than me; even if I am the President of my own pyramid. Your potential income isn't determined by your boss, but based on your own marketing efforts. So it seems that "Corporate America" is the "pyramid scam", not network marketing.

If you had or are having a similar corporate experience to mine; you may consider another career path. If so, this industry may be a good fit for you. Within my first month, I made $4,000 and personally sponsored 18 people in one day. This industry isn't easy, takes a lot of dedication, but worth it. The difference is you are investing your time in your own business and financial future. You aren't busting your tail so the money can get deposited into someone else's bank account.

Just l like anything in life, you must believe you can do it. "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." Anatole France

Born in the 1940's, Wilma Rudolph was a young, black child that was told she had polio, a crippling disease that had no cure. The doctor told Wilma's mother, her child would never walk again. She believed in her daughter, and didn't give up. Through hard work, and the help of doctors, Wilma Rudolph's dream came true. She did walk again. Her miracle story, Wilma became the first American woman to win 3 gold medals in a single Olympics.

There are so many different opportunities to own your own company in this country. First you just need dream it, build a plan, work the plan, and end up with a miracle story! Miracles can happen to anyone, why not you!
