The sleepless capital city of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur, a city that has recently experienced a growth spurt. The colorful culture and ever-present historical background combine with all the qualities of a growing busy city and the modern entertainment scene. Recognized for the low-priced luxurious hotels, delicious food, and countless fun opportunities, Kuala Lumpur makes for a great vacation destination. A passport is required for all travel abroad, but online passport services offer expedite American passport delivery and make it easy to get started.
If you do have a passport already, make sure it's not expired. If you've had it for more than 10 years, then you will have to get a S passport renewal. You can get these renewals online. Online passport services make preparing for a trip incredibly easy and can jump-start your vacation. Because the services are online, it means you can do it any time, instead of having to take time off work so you can catch the passport office before it closes. Online service has no "Hours of Operation," and this means it can fit perfectly into your schedule.
The best way to explore Kuala Lumpur is by simply wandering. Every corner offers something to explore, and there is such a feeling of satisfaction in discovering a really beautiful building, an interesting museum, or the perfect cozy restaurant by yourself. A good way to prepare is by investigating the several districts of the city. Some, like Midvalley and the Golden Triangle, are best for shopping and clubbing, while others, like Brickfields and the City Centre, offer a more traditional experience.
The historical aspect of Kuala Lumpur is a prominent tourist attraction. The City Centre is where you will find the historic landmarks and characteristic architecture of Kuala Lumpur, and there are a few that you can't miss out on. Mederka Square or Independence Square, is one of these historic landmarks. The Moorish buildings surround the area where Malaysia's independence was declared. The Royal Selangor Club and Sultan Abdul Samad building are other spots to check out. Masjid Jamek is outside of the Square. It is considered the most beautiful mosque in the city. Sri Mahamariaman temple, is a very old and very beautiful Hindu Temple, which features gorgeously elaborate decoration. The Central Market, a great place to get souvenirs and handmade items, is nearby as well.
Also located in the City Centre is the gorgeous Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, which also features a little museum. If you are interested in more history and culture, check out the National Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum. Chinatown is also a great cultural experience. The Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the Petronas Twin Towers are interesting landmarks located in the Golden Triangle.
