Have you recently taken up the sport of golf and you are now in the process of choosing ladies golf clothes to create your golf wardrobe? If so, you probably already know that golf is a sport that contains stipulations on appropriate dress code.

The first lady golfers from early times had rigid dress code rules to follow. When it came to their golf attire it was very uncomfortable, restrictive and very unflattering. These lady golfers had to contend with their golf swing being impeded by their restrictive garments.

As the years have advanced, golf dress code rules have become much more relaxed. Despite this change, a majority of golfers still remain devoted to wearing today's traditional golf attire for golfing.

However, there are still some clubs that do enforce specific dress code rules. Before you begin purchasing items for your golf wardrobe be sure to check the dress code rules at the clubs you will be frequenting most often for golf.

Creating a golf wardrobe is much the same as creating a wardrobe for work. You begin by choosing some staple pieces. Staple items in ladies golf clothes would be bottoms and tops.

You will find a wide selection of ladies golf clothing available for women golfers to choose from. A major factor to remember when choosing these garments is they should not be restrictive or binding.

Look for garments made of materials that are breathable and allow for sweat evaporation to easily occur, especially for summer time wear. This factor becomes especially important for tops. A wet, clingy top can easily make you feel lousy when golfing.

Make it a point to choose neutral colors for the staple pieces in your golf wardrobe. When you do this it will enable you to mix and match your pieces more easily giving you more mileage out of your wardrobe.

Will you be playing in hot humid conditions a lot? If so, it is best to stay away from black and select light colors. Your work wardrobe might be loaded with black, but for golfing it will absorb the sun's rays while light colors will reflect.

As you begin choosing ladies golf clothes for your wardrobe, start off by adding a couple of tops that are good quality. Make sure they are breathable and easy care. Look for no fuss, wash and dry items that hold up well to frequent laundering.

The next item on your list should be a nice neutral bottom that you can mix and match with the tops. Many lady golfers choose skorts. Sometimes you may find that some of the nicer clubs seem to have a tendency to favor skorts for ladies.

Make it a point to choose the type of ladies golf clothes that best captures you own personal style because this can help boost your self-confidence. Just be sure to abide by dress code rules.
