It is important to ensure that your roof is equipped with building materials that are appropriate to the weather conditions of the area that you live in. Choosing cheap, low-quality materials that do not handle well in certain weather conditions can prove to be a very expensive mistake. This type of mistake especially at the time of construction leads to bear heavy cost of repairing near about each year or in every season. You can minimize the problem by selecting the material that is more suitable and having great resistance for all type of weather condition like EPDM and liquid roof designed especially for it. Elastomeric roof coatings and liquid roof are also designed for roof leaks due to draining water in rain; provide great resistance for water in rainy season. Similarly epdm is the best product for summer sun that can easily control the temperature by providing complete protection to the roof from sunlight.

For the durability of a Liquid Roof, at the time repairing is very important, because roof leaks convert into the major roof damaging problem those have no solution instead of reinstallation of the roof. Many homeowners do not realize it until it is too late, but there are many situations in which roof repairs must be done because the roof was improperly constructed and designed. These complications may include weak structures that buckle easily under pressure, a slope that is considered to be inadequate, selecting materials that are not durable enough to withstand the overall shape and design of the home, and even selecting materials that are not considered to be quality enhanced and hold up to certain weather conditions.

Liquid Roof is a true EPDM rubber and therefore could be described as a liquid version of the single ply EPDM membrane which has been established as an outstanding performance record of over 30 years. The EPDM chemistry has two unique features not possessed by any other rubber -it is unaffected by ultra-violet and ozone, and can tolerate continuous exposure at temperatures over 300 degrees F. The latter feature is also what gives EPDM rubbers the best aging properties 9retain flexibility longer) of all the elastomers.

Liquid Roof and Liquid Rubber is the only EPDM product currently in the market. It is priced higher than the Acrylics but this one disadvantage is more than outweighed by Liquid Roof's performance advantages and nearly total absence of conditions, which can result in disastrous failures. Many roofs will pond water. The gulf states all experience sudden afternoon showers. The northern states experience rapid temperature drops late in the day during Spring and Fall. These kinds of situations might only result in minor cosmetic surface distortions to the Liquid Roof® while the acrylic coating-based products could be partially or totally destroyed.

There are some tips which must be kept in mind before applying liquid rubber on your roof. Be aware that it is a 3 to 6 hrs process, excluding the surface preparation time. Once the liquid EPDM Rubber is applied, it takes around 16 to 20 hours to dry up. Therefore proper management of time is necessary. Careful planning regarding weather conditions should be done as well, i.e. one should plan to work on days when the rain is not expected because although Liquid Roof will immediately waterproof, even when wet, avoid heavy rain until it is completely dry to the touch which means 16 - 20 hours after application. To be on the safe side, one can say that a full cure will be achieved in 4 - 10 days after application, in consistent 70 deg F.
