NumberCruncher Cited in WTG Expert   by Thomas R. Cutler

Ian Benoliel, President and Founder of NumberCruncher, was quoted in the current issue of WTG Expert magazine in a feature article by manufacturing journalist Thomas R. Cutler, titled "Inventory Control isn't Brain Chemistry."

While quite sophisticated in scope, Neuralynx was using QuickBooks for both financial and inventory management. Rick Olson manages the operations side of the business, and was very happy with the core accounting functionality of QuickBooks, but had long since outgrown the inventory capabilities. Olson noted, "We had our inventory in QuickBooks, but it was taking a lot of time to generate orders, and it wasn't allowing us to do what we needed to do. We needed a flexible Bill of Materials (BOM), and the ability to designate inventory by location. QuickBooks doesn't have that."

Olson started looking around for a solution to his problem, and he found it on the QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace: All Orders by NumberCruncher. Initially, Olson thought he should upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, but after talking to an Intuit phone representative, he realized that would not have solved his problem. What he needed was an application made specifically for inventory and order management. Olson found, "With All Orders we can do what we need to do for efficient manufacturing. It's been a tremendous time saver, and it's helped us reduce our inventory and increase our accuracy."

Because QuickBooks and Work Orders share data, Olson did not have to spend a lot of time entering information into the new application before he started using the adjunct product. "It didn't take long to set up - only about 10-15 minutes and I downloaded it from the NumberCruncher web site, and it synchronized with QuickBooks really fast. It was just a matter of learning the software. I called technical support a couple times. They were very helpful and responsive. They told me what I needed to know, and voila. It's been an all-around good experience," remarked Olson.

According to Ian Benoliel, President & CEO of NumberCruncher, "Small manufacturers need vital inventory and order management features to effectively track inventory quantities, production, and customer orders. Small companies like Neuralynx need much, but not all, of the functional technology solutions as larger organizations."
