Online Trading Academy Reviews & Overview by Michael

The Online Trading Academy is an educational company with a mission to train would-be investors and traders on strategies in a variety of asset classes, including Stocks, Currencies (Forex), Futures (Eminis and Commodities), and Options. They are a really large company, apparently the largest education company for trading, and have been around since the 90s, so they have a bunch of graduates that have put out a ton of reviews.
Teaching Style
The style in which the Trading Academy teaches is pretty interesting. Most classes are weeklong and in-person in one of their local centers. During this week, there is training and reviews of concepts, demonstrations and hands on trading with real money. This live, hands on training is what a lot of students really rave about. The money is real, and the trades are real. This provides a tremendous opportunity to practice in a room with other students, with the instructor right there to help you along the way. With this approach, you'll leave the class more comfortable with trading your own money once you are at home.
Online Trading Academy Reviews
The reviews that are the most helpful are those by actual graduates of the school. While searching the web you may come across a lot of reviews from people who either just went to a free workshop or reviewed the tools on their website. But, if you are searching for reliable reviews, it's probably because you are considering signing up for a class. If that is the case, then it really pays to hear from people who have actually gone through a paid class. The best source seems to be the website TradingAcademyReviews.com. It's a curated list of reviews from people who have actually gone through real training from their classes.
Getting Started
Getting started with OTA is pretty straightforward. If you simply visit their website, you can easily locate a training center that is close to you. From there, it'd be best to first attend a half-day workshop to see if the training is right for you. The workshops are free, and give you a taste of what you would be getting into with a weeklong class.
If you are a complete beginner and don't yet feel confident going to a workshop, take a few hours and dedicate yourself to learning some trading basics online. There are tons of websites that spell out the very simple concepts (even Wikipedia is great for this). The TradingAcademy.com website also has a free section with a ton of information in the form of blog posts, podcasts, newsletters, and tools that will help you hit the ground running.
If you are at all interesting in making some extra money, or a living, in trading on the markets, it is really worth taking a look at some formal trading from a company or investor you can trust.
