Brain cancer recurrence is a kind of regeneration of malignant cells and is mainly caused due to inefficient treatments undergone in the past, in ability to restrict major cancer causes or the overall weakness in immune system of the victim. Recurrence is mainly related to formation of tumors in the treated areas but may also include generation of polyps or malignant cells in other nearby areas.

Brain Cancer Recurrence in Detail

Recurrence of brain cancer is based on various aspects. Age is the most important aspect causing redevelopment of malignant cells. Cancer of brain is most common in those who are above 50 years and is one of the most-general forms of cancers worldwide. The disease also occurs in children but the survival rate is much higher in children as compared to adults. The rate is just 12-32% for adults while it is more than 75% for children. Also, the chances of recurrence are much higher in adults as compared to children as they may be suffering from many other health disorders and have less sustainability to stern cancer treatments as compared to children. Also, the chances of re-development of tissues that get damaged during the treatment process are less in adults as compared to children.

Other major factor that causes brain cancer recurrence is exposure to high amount of radiations. Radiations may either be due to chemical or other processes, and cause a major impact on health of brain. They lead to severe tissue-disorders and cause the tissues to behave abruptly. Improper behavior of tissues leads to insufficient generation of blood cells and anti-bodies required for proper and safe functioning of brain. This leads to uneasiness among the cells present in brain region and increases the chances of recurrence.

Smoking is an important risk factor of brain cancer. It leads to increase in chances of not only the primary brain cancer but also the secondary one. Also, the tumors tend to metastasize faster as intake of carcinogens present in cigarette leads to ill-health of tissues. Also, the intake of tobacco and excess consumption of alcohol leads to severe health disorders and can be an indirect factor for secondary cancer.

One should follow a healthy lifestyle and active routine to avoid being prone to cancer recurrence. Regular exercise and high intake of vegetables, cereals, fruits and salads are some of the natural methods to avoid recurrence. They benefit immensely in keeping the health and immune system of the victim intact.

One should keep a close watch on detection of cancer symptoms and undergo thorough diagnosis on immediate basis if any such symptoms get detected. Proper and regular health check up is the key to avoiding recurrence of cancer. Therapies or treatments should be undergone in only the required amounts as improper cure pattern or over-intake of medical drugs cause severe side-effects. This may also lead to permanent damage to brain or other organs and make the process of avoiding recurrent growth highly complicated.

Brain cancer recurrence is a severe condition and is responsible for most of the fatalities related to the disorder. Chances of survival are extremely less in such cases and one should not delay in opting for proper diagnosis and treatment methods under proper medical supervision.
