The island was not so well known until a few years back but it is growing largely as one of the favorite destinations to be visited to spend holidays or even for permanent residence. This rapid increase is because word is getting out about the mesmerizing beauty of the island, and the amazing locals. The country's economy is one of the strongest in the Caribbean and Central America, in part due to the increase in tourism.
