The Best Method for Living in the Present Moment by RafAdams

Let first clarify what the present moment is? Most people live their lives thinking about the future or thinking about the past and never seem to get to a place of peace and calmness. There is always something more to achieve before I can be happy. But is there actually a future and past? The future is not NOW and the past is already GONE, so what is left? What is left, is this moment right NOW when you read this article. This is your present moment. The reason why it's important is because it's the only time that actually exists.
Living in the NOW means being content with yourself, being content with your life, what you have, what you do and who you are right now. It means enjoying the moment to the fullest disregarding of what happened in the past or what might happen in the future. It means to enjoy life as it is right NOW. Are you happy and content at this moment with yourself and your life?
How do we live in the present moment when so many external environments, past and future are distracting us from being present?
It's actually very easy... every day when you have breakfast take 5 minutes time to pay attention to the taste of what you eat, when you drink first smell your cup of coffee, taste the flavour of the tea you are drinking and live completely in that experience. How does your coffee smell, how does your tea taste. Enjoy the taste, smell, view of the food and live it to the fullest. This will enrich the joy of experiencing breakfast; it will release your mind from thinking about the future, being caught up in the past and simply enjoy life in the NOW. By doing so, you will be more content, find more peace within, and simply be more joyful in life. This will give you the right clear mindset and inner peace for the rest of the day.
You can also practice this during lunch, dinner or any other time in the day.
Another way to live in the NOW is to find your purpose in life. If you enjoy what you do on a daily basis there is nothing to worry about for the future or to think about the past because you simply enjoy the moment, you enjoy doing what you love.
Have you found your purpose in life? Do you practice being present on a daily basis? If you want to live in the NOW and enjoy your life to the fullest practice being present and find your purpose in life. When you do so, you'll be much happier, at peace and content with yourself and with life itself.
