Every year millions of people in the world are affected with vitiligo. They don't know where it comes from. They don't know what causes it. They don't know how they got it. And this leads them down the road of asking: Does such a thing exist? Is there a cure for vitiligo?

When it comes to vitiligo, the word "cure" has been thrown around the Internet like a rag doll. You have thousands of websites claiming that they have found the cure for vitiligo. You even have websites from other countries claiming that they have found the "cure". But have they really found it? Or is it just all hype?

In reality what these websites have "found" is the same thing that the other websites have found. Treatments. They have found the same treatment for vitiligo that every other website professes is "the" cure. When you get down to it, there are many treatments for vitiligo. But none of these treatments are the cure.

The truth is, no one treatment will work for every person that is treated. When you are looking for that treatment that can possibly help you. Make sure that your Dr. doesn't fill your head with the false hope that these websites use everyday to get your hard earned dollars.

I hate to say it but: There is no cure for vitiligo. There is only hope that the treatment that you are using will work for you...permanently. The best way to cure your vitiligo is to educate yourself with knowledge of this condition. Then find a reputable doctor that is willing to explore ALL of the treatment options and find one that is right for you. Why do I say that there is no cure for vitiligo? Why do I say that there is only hope?

Because all of the treatments out there: the laser treatment, the cream treatment, the laser combined with the cream treatment, the melanocyte transplantation, melagenina plus. All of these treatments can "cure" you in the short term. But in the long run your vitiligo can quite possibly come back. Dashing your hopes and dreams.

There have been numerous cases where some of the people treated with the above treatments were "cured". After they were treated these few individuals never ever had to experience their vitiligo again. Because it never came back. Maybe that will be you. Maybe not. But you will never know unless you try.
