On Tuesday night, January 10 at 10pm Eastern standard time the new season of BET's most popular show The Game will be kicking off their 5th season. It will be interesting to see if the show will be able to draw in the same record breaking crowd that it attracted at last season's season 4 premiere. The opening show during last season captured a record 7.7 million viewers. Many of the show's fans will be tuning in on Tuesday nights to see if the show will be able to continue in its popularity.

Every season it seems the show adds a twist which is a new character that is introduced. Last season the show had Meagan Goode as a new character well this year they are adding Brandy Norwood to the mix of things. She will be playing the wife of Jason Pitts character (Coby Bell). Norwood is a sassy waitress in the show who gets married to Bell in a quickie Mexican marriage. The addition of Norwood to the show should be interesting. Her character and Bell's character are supposedly opposites which mean they will probably be doing lots of arguing.

Despite their obvious differences they have a love and attraction for each other which makes for an interesting couple and storyline. This will be the first time Norwood has been in a sitcom since her role as Moesha back in 2001.

The major difference with this year's show is Brittany Daniels (Kelly) will perhaps be seeing a limited role. There has been rumors that she had a contract dispute and wanted more money. So, you may not see a lot of her this season. It is sure difficult to imagine the show without her. When a show has been as successful as The Game no one wants to see it continue unless all of the original cast members are there. Well, fans will have to get used to seeing less or none of her in season 5.

There will be many cameo appearances by certain celebs such as Selita Ebanks, NeNe leakes, Estelle, Shawn Marion, Rockmond Dunbar, DeRay Davis and Loretta Devine. The list doesn't really stop right there but so far these celebs have been announced to make appearances. It will be interesting to see if they will be able to draw in a massive audience for the season premiere. After reading various blogs and websites the fans are very excited to get this season started and pick up where they left off last year.
