PHP is a programming language used with VPS cPanel web hosting and is similar to HTML, an embedding scripting language utilized in the operation of thousands of web sites. The syntax of PHP language is derived from Perl, Java and C programming languages, along with several original PHP phrases integrated with them. PHP is meant to facilitate writing web pages for web developers quickly and efficiently. The way it works is this: when a web surfer finds a webpage written in PHP, the web server being used immediately processes the code, searching for only certain aspects it needs to reveal to visitors, such as images and content, and suppresses other things like calculations or file operations which will not promote the website. This PHP content is then translated into HTML, which is then transmitted to your visitor’s browser where he or she is able to read it.

Advantages of PHP
PHP is popular with web programmers because of its easiness and flexibility. Some of these advantages include its ability to generate shopping carts for website which sell items. This promotes purchasing power due to shopping carts allowing customers to keep track of what they want by saving them in an imaginary “shopping cart”. Using PHP also lessens the amount of time it takes to create extensive websites because of its simple programming syntax. A web site owner is also able to know who exactly is visiting his or her site which enables customization of the site in order to cater more efficiently to certain demographics. In addition, PHP is very flexible in that it adapts to and enhances a wide variety of online tools.

Disadvantages of PHP
The biggest disadvantage of using PHP lies in its programming language. Since it is lightly typed and not subject to stringent rules in programming which accompanies Assembly or C+ programming languages, it may execute some odd behavior that is unexpected and disrupting, depending on the size of the error. This can be blamed on programming mistakes which other computer languages may not allow to happen. However, it is almost impossible for a language to be immune to a developer’s error.

Other than this one disadvantage, PHP is a great language to use with VPS hosting. It will facilitate handling of a website, as well as promote its generation and uniqueness.
