When I was 25 years old, I made a dramatic shift from working as a paralegal in a law firm into sales. After a week of training, I was sent out into the field to sell. Immediately it became painfully obvious that I needed some knowledge and I needed it quickly. Fortunately for me I was led to Napoleon Hill�s classic Think & Grow Rich. Within a year, I went from the bottom of the totem pole to the top sales representative; a position that I maintained throughout my career. There were lots of books out there on sales techniques. I read hundreds of them; but the biggest shifts that I ever made were based on the studying that I did about myself. You see, the more I know about me, the more I know about you.
